NEWS FLASH:

 

In October of 2011 Pima Valve received a PERFECT SCORE of 100 on the Huntington Ingalls Supplier Performance Scorecard for the 6 month period beginning April 2011 and ending Sept. 2011.  The scoring is based on quality and delivery times.  The average score from 16 other similar suppliers was 62.17.  We take pride in our quality and on time deliveries.

Pima Valve received a PERFECT SCORE  of 100 on the Huntington Ingalls Supplier Performance Scorecard for the Oct. 2010 - March 2011 period.  The scoring is based on quality and deliveries.  Huntington Ingalls is one of the world's premier shipbuilders.

Vice Admiral Alan S. Thompson, SC, USN Director, Defense Logistics Agency, has announced that Pima Valve, Inc. is selected to receive the DLA Vendor Excellence Award (HUB Zone Small Business). The Admiral will present this award on June 28, 2011 in Columbus, Ohio, USA. 
This prestigious award is based on a supplier grading system developed by the US Department of Defense which evaluates quality, service and on-time performance. We are very proud of this achievement.

On June 29, 2011 Pima Valve will receive the SILVER DLA Land and Maritime 2010 Recognition for Excellence Award. This award is given for commitment to quality and performance. We are very happy to receive this award and look forward to accepting it.

The U.S. Department of Defense awarded Pima Valve a 1st option year extension on a contract to manufacture Gate Valves in accordance with the 803-2177917 Revision K drawing for the U.S. Navy.

Rev K valves require Tungsten Carbide coatings to both the  wedge and the seat rings.  The contract is valued at $3,012,224.  Pima looks forward to continuing its long established partnership with the D.O.D. and U.S. Navy. 


In Other News:

Pima Valve is working on multiple contracts awarded to us by Gaweea Global Trading In. located in Saudi Arabia.  They consist of over 100 valves ranging in size from 2.00 to 16.00 inch Gate, Globe and Swing Check types.  These valves are primarily Ductile Iron material with interior and exterior epoxy coatings.


We have also been awarded numerous orders thru Aramco for NRS Ductile Iron Gate Valves with adjustable Post Indicators.  These Gate Valves will be internally and externally epoxy coated.  This is a new product for Pima Valve:  they were tested and approved by a third party inspector.


Alyeska Pipe Line Service Co. out of Anchorage Alaska has recently awarded an order for Aluminum Bronze NRS Gate Valves with Stem Extensions and Floor Stands.

U.S. Commerce Association's Award Plaque Honors the Achievement.

NEW YORK, NY, October 27, 2010-- Pima Valve, Inc. has been selected for the 2010 Best of Chandler Award in the Valves & Pipe Fittings category by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA).

The USCA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country.  Each year, the USCA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category.  These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.

Government Contractors Recognized for quality performance.

Pima Valve, Inc. was recently honored by the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime (formerly Defense Supply Center Columbus) as one of the government's best suppliers at an award ceremony held during the 2010 DLA Enterprise Supplier Conference and Exhibition, Aug. 23-25, in Columbus, Ohio.

Marianne Macturk accepted the award from Army Brig. Gen. Thomas J. Richardson, the DLA Land and Maritime Commanding General.

This recognition means the firm has supplied a product the government can be confident in using.  Firms that qualify as Automated Best Value System award winners have met the stringent quality and delivery requirements established by the Defense Logistics Agency.  The ABVS, a computerized system, collects a vendor's past performance data and translates it into numeric score ranging from zero to 100.

Pima Valve, Inc. supplies Marine Valves to the United State government.

To be eligible, vendors must have shipped 50 or more contract line items for DLA Land and Maritime during a 12- month period.  To qualify for a Gold Award, a contractor must have a perfect score of 100.  A score of 99 to 99.99 earns a Silver Award, and 98 to 98.9 earns a Bronze Award.

DLA Land and Maritime, located in Columbus, Ohio, serves more than 145,000 military and civilian customers and 10,000 contractors as one of the largest suppliers of weapon systems parts in the world.  Land and Maritime's workforce of about 3,000 purchases material, monitors inventory levels, maintains technical data, and assures quality conformance of spare parts.  These spare parts vary from common items such as vehicle components and accessories, to complex mechanical and electronic repair parts for weapon systems.

PIMA VALVE has been slated to receive a DLA Recognition for Excellence SILVER Award for 2009. Criteria for this award includes 99.0 - 99.9% on time and defect free deliveries for all shipments.

Pima Valve passed a routine and random on-site quality inspection by Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding-Gulf Coast today. Reflective of our commitment to quality, this successful survey allows for an uninterrupted and continued supply by Pima to one of the premium shipbuilders in the world.

Pima Valve was awarded a contract from JGC Corporation, based in Yokohama, Japan. The contract includes 11, specialty ductile Iron Globe and Swing Check Valves ranging in sizes from 6 inches up to 16 inches in diameter which will be used in the expansion of the Tanajib Water Treatment plant. Pima Valve will also provide 2 Bevel Gear Operated Valves for this contract. These  valves will contain have an epoxy coating (Belzona 1391) applied to the interior and exterior (Jotamastic 80) of the valves, as requested by JGC. These specialty coatings are used to add protection to the ductile iron valves in the harsh desert environments where they will be put in service.
 
Additionally, on May 10, 2010, JGC add another 16 specialty ductile iron valves to this order. The additional 6 inch and 8 inch specialty globe valves will also be used in the Tanajib Water Treatment expansion.  Pima Valve is very excited to start our new working relationship with JGC Gulf International, LTD and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial business relationship with our new friends.
